
NASHUA, NH — The Nashua Sports Authority will close in the wake of the company’s bankruptcy filing.
Consumerist posted a list of the 140 stores that will be shuttered as part of the bankruptcy move. Nashua is the only New Hampshire store on the list. Sports Authority stores in Manchester, Salem, and Amherst will remain open.
The Colorado-based sporting gear chain has been hurt by competition from Amazon and Dick’s Sporting Goods over the last several years.

CEO Michael Foss said the 140 stores will be closed within three months. That total represents about a third of its stores.
Over 3,400 job cuts are expected.
