Nashua Teacher Named Music Educator Of The Year

NASHUA, NH — Nashua music teacher Frank Iovieno this month was awarded SymphonyNH's 2017 Music Educator of the Year award. Iovieno teaches at Crisp Elementary School in Nashua. (Subscribe to Nashua Patch news alerts for breaking Nashua news. iPhone/iPad users: download the new Patch app.)

Iovieno was honored during SymphonyNH's April 8 performance; conductor Jonathan McPhee presented him with the award.

"McPhee noted the increase in the number of students participating in chorus and band at (Crisp elementary) and choosing to take individual instrumental music lessons under Mr. Iovieno's tutelage," school officials said in a statement. "Since his arrival at Dr. Crisp in 2008, Mr. Iovieno has been committed to instilling an appreciation of music in each of his students."
