Nashua Teacher Used Grindr to Sext Students: Police

Nashua teacher Bruce Lanctot used Grindr to send naked photos of himself to students and arrange sex, police said.

NASHUA, NH — A Nashua teacher was charged with using Grindr to send naked pictures of himself to his students, police said.

Nashua High School South teacher Bruce Lanctot, 40, of 25 Stark St., Apt. 1, was arrested Wednesday.

Grindr bills itself as the largest gay social networking application. Police said Lanctot used it to sext students and try to arrange sex, police said.

Police said on Monday, they received a complaint that Lanctot sent nude pictures to a student. Officers launched an investigation and said they identified other students who also received nude photos from Lanctot.

"The victims reported being solicited by Lanctot to meet with him and engage in sexual conduct," Nashua Lt. Kerry Baxter said in a statement. "Lanctot ... indicated he knew he was communicating with Nashua High School South students."

Police did not release the ages of the alleged victims.

Lanctot was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, indecent exposure, and illegal computer use. He was released on $20,000 bail pending an arraignment June 15.

He was placed on paid leave from his teaching job, police said.
