Nashua Teen Arrested On Child Rape Charges
Erik Callahan of Monroe Street was arrested after a report of a sexual assault late last month.

NASHUA, NH — Nashua Police have arrested a local teen on child rape and domestic assault charges, according to a press statement. Erik Callahan, 19, of Monroe Street in Nashua, was arrested at 6:31 p.m. on March 30, 2018, and charged with two counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault-domestic violence and two counts of second-degree assault-domestic violence, all felonies. On March 23, officers took a report of a sexual assault accusation against a child in the city, according to Lt. Robert Page of the Nashua Police Department.

The victim – a juvenile that knew Callahan – alleged that the teen sexually assaulted them inside of a local residence. Detectives continued to work on the case and later, issued a warrant against Callahan on a single count. After he was arrested, three more counts were added.

Page noted that the sexual assault charges carry up to 15 years each as a penalty; the second-degree counts are up to seven years each.
Callahan was held on $50,000 cash bail and was scheduled to be arraigned yesterday.
