Nashua Teen Driver Seriously Hurt When Her Truck Crashes, Bursts Into Flames
The 17-year-old was flown in a medical helicopter to a Boston-area hospital.

A Nashua teenager was seriously injured in a crash in Massachusetts Friday.
Police said the 17-year-old was driving a 1999 Ford F-150 in Dunstable on Hollis Street when she crashed into a tree. The truck burst into flames. Officers put out the flames with handheld extinguishers then pulled the girl from the wreckage.
She was loaded into a medical helicopter and flown to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. Her condition was not immediately available.

A passenger, identified as a New Hampshire girl, was uninjured in the crash.

“Our officers were able to respond quickly to the scene and put out the flames, preventing further injuries to the driver,” Dunstable police Chief James Downes said in a statement. “I am proud of the hard work and dedication of our officers and grateful to our neighboring departments for their assistance on Friday.”
Police said they are investigating if speed played a factor in the crash. They said they ruled out alcohol.
