Nashua Police were called to Grand Avenue yesterday afternoon for a report of a man who had explosive devices but the call turned out to be a false report, according to police.
Officers were sent to Grand Avenue around 3:45 p.m. on Dec. 3. A tipster, who was male, stated that he was armed and had explosive devices that he would use if he was not given money.
“As a precautionary measure officers set up a perimeter and closed neighboring streets,” according to Lt. James Testaverde, of the department’s criminal investigation division. “A nearby school was also placed on lock-down until the incident came to an end. A short time after the initial call the investigation revealed that the incident was a false report. There were no reported injuries.”
