Nashua Woman Alleged Thief

Nashua police arrested city woman Thursday on felony theft charge.

A city woman was arrested Thursday and charged with a Class B felony theft for allegedly taking items from a parked vehicle.

Nashua police identified the person as Rebekah Spencer, 23, of 21 Wilder St., Nashua. 

Officers responded to Eldridge Street on Thursday morning at 6:48 for the report of a theft. The victim noted two women in the area at the time of the theft and provided police with a description.

Upon investigation, officers met Spencer a short distance away and she was initially arrested for receiving stolen property, police said. Police then found Spencer had two prior theft-related convictions, which elevated the charge to a Class B felony, police said.

Spencer was jailed on $15,000 cash or surety, pending an arraignment Aug. 10 at the 9th Circuit Nashua District Court.
