Nashua Woman Charged With Exploiting Disabled Friend
Sheryl Smith allegedly befriend a disabled person to steal credit and debit cards.

A Nashua woman on Tuesday was arrested on charges she befriended a disabled person to credit cards.
Sheryl Smith, 58, of 57 Tyler St., was charged with felony financial exploitation of a disabled person.
Police said the investigation started in July. Officers spoke with the victim, who said Smith used debit and credit cards without the victim’s permission. Smith had befriended the victim and became the victim’s caretaker, police said.

Smith used the cards “for her own benefit,” police said.
Smith was held on $3,000 bail pending an arraignment later Tuesday.
