Nashua Woman Stole Checks For Rent: Police
Amber McGraw, of Nashua, was charged with felony forgery after police said she stole checks from someone's car to pay rent and scam a bank.
NASHUA, NH — A Nashua woman was arrested Friday on charges she stole checks from someone's car and used them to pay rent and scam banks, police said. Nashua police Lieutenant Craig Allard said in February, a Sawyer Street resident reported someone stole checks from his vehicle.
"Detectives then discovered that Amber McGraw was responsible for stealing the checks and forging the (victim's) signature," Allard said in a statement.

McGraw used one check to pay rent and cashed two more at local banks, police said. Her bail was set at $200 pending an arraignment June 21 in Nashua District Court.
