New Hampshire College Students Graduate: Roundup

Plus: Students from Amherst, Concord, Milford, Nashua, and other communities named to Dean's Lists and honored with other achievements.

Wheaton College student Stephen McKay of Nashua, was named to the Dean's List for the Spring 2019 semester. To earn Dean's List honors at Wheaton, at undergraduate student must carry 12 or more credit hours and achieve a 3.5 grade point average or higher on the 4.0 scale.

Gettysburg College students take pride in their work, and the school is likewise proud to announce their recent academic achievements. Students whose semester averages were 3.6 or above were recently placed on the Dean's Honor List. The following local students have been awarded this outstanding academic achievement in the Spring 2019 semester:

The University of Maine recognized 2,330 students for achieving Dean's List honors in the spring 2019 semester. Springfield College has named the following area students to the Dean's List for academic excellence for the 2019 Spring Semester. Criteria for selection to the dean's list requires that the student must have a minimum semester grade point average of 3.500 for the semester:

  • Paige Shaughnessy of Nashua has been named to the dean's list for academic excellence for the spring 2019 term. Shaughnessy is studying Accounting.
  • Madelaine Duda of Nashua has been named to the dean's list for academic excellence for the spring 2019 term. Duda is studying Communication Sciences and Disorders.
  • Harper Niven of Nashua has been named to the dean's list for academic excellence for the spring 2019 term. Niven is studying Communication/Sport Journalism.
  • Ryan Vermette of Nashua has been named to the dean's list for academic excellence for the spring 2019 term. Vermette is studying Communication/Sport Journalism.

The following local residents made the Dean's List at Rochester Institute of Technology for the 2019 spring semester. Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours:

The following students have been named to Emerson College's Dean's List for the Spring 2019 semester. The requirement to make the Dean's List is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher that semester:

Alfred Lindsey of Bow, has been selected to the University of Jamestown's Spring 2019 Dean's List for maintaining a Semester GPA of 3.50 or better.

On May 12, Emerson College awarded more than 970 undergraduate degrees and on May 11, awarded nearly 300 graduate degrees during the College's Commencement ceremonies:

  • Jillian Anderson of Nashua graduated from Emerson College, with a BA degree in Media Arts Production.
  • Emily Burns of Nashua graduated from Emerson College, with a BA degree in Media Arts Production.
  • Erin Swauger of Nashua graduated from Emerson College, with a BS degree in Interdisciplinary.

The following students have been selected for inclusion on the Dean's List for academic achievement during the Spring 2019 semester at St. Lawrence University.

  • Katherine E. Andy of Concord. Andy is a member of the Class of 2020 and is majoring in conservation biology. Andy attended Concord High School.
  • Gretchen B. Conant of Concord. Conant is a member of the Class of 2021 and is majoring in environmental studies-biology. Conant attended Concord High School.

  • Adam W. Dwight of Concord. Dwight is a member of the Class of 2022 and is majoring in performance and communication arts. Dwight attended Concord High School.
  • Eleanor C. Holland of Concord. Holland is a member of the Class of 2019 and is majoring in environmental studies-philosophy. Holland attended Holderness School.
  • Margaret B. Jensen of Bow. Jensen is a member of the Class of 2020 and is majoring in conservation biology. Jensen attended Bow High School.
  • Kathryn E. Jepson of Concord. Jepson is a member of the Class of 2022 and is majoring in environmental studies. Jepson attended Concord High School.
  • Erin C. Waters of Concord. Waters is a member of the Class of 2019 and is majoring in environmental studies. Waters attended Concord High School.

To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must have completed at least four courses and have an academic average of 3.6 based on a 4.0 scale for the semester.

Noah Gosselin of Nashua has been named to Sherman College of Chiropractic's Dean's List for grades earned during the spring 2019 academic quarter. Dean's List students have achieved a grade point average of at least 3.5 for the quarter.

Bryant University is committed to the pursuit, recognition, and celebration of academic success. Abigail Tesconi, class of 2022, from Amherst, NH, has been named to the President's List for the spring 2019 semester. The President's List is an academic distinction reserved for Bryant's highest achievers who earn a GPA of 4.0 or better for at least 12 semester hours of work.

Emmanuel College celebrated its 97th Commencement Exercises May 11, 2019. Local students who graduated include:

Annikka Matson of Concord. Matson received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a concentration in Inequality and Social Justice during the ceremony.

Haley Parker of Bow. Parker received a Bachelor of Arts in a double major of Theater Arts and Neuroscience during the ceremony.

Austin Gamache, a resident of Bow, was among nearly 600 students who graduated from Bob Jones University May 3. Gamache graduated with a BA in Bible.
