New Ladder Truck Ready for Action in Nashua

This truck replaces a 17-year-old truck, which will now become the city's spare aerial ladder truck.

City of Nashua’s newest fire apparatus is now in service.

Ladder One, 2012 Pierce Arrow XT 105’ Heavy Duty Aerial is now in service at the Amherst Street Fire Station. The new Ladder One replaces a 1995 Pierce Arrow Heavy Duty Aerial that will now become the city’s spare aerial. Cost of the ladder truck was $829,534, approved in April of 2012.

Nashua Fire Rescue maintains four aerial trucks, with three being in frontline service and one providing insurance for service delivery during periods of break down or scheduled maintenance of frontline apparatus.

The City traded in its oldest aerial (1990 Pierce Arrow Heavy Duty Aerial) to the manufacturer to help defray the cost of purchase.
