NH Amber Alert: Child Found Safe By Police
An Amber Alert was triggered after police said Erica Wallace, 26, of Raymond, kidnapped her son at the Mall of New Hampshire in Manchester.

MANCHESTER, NH — Police on Friday triggered an Amber Alert after they said a Raymond woman kidnapped her 2-year-old son at the Mall of New Hampshire then fled to Massachusetts. Erica Wallace, 26, was caught in Tewksbury, Massachusetts a few hours later and her son was found safe, according to police.
The ordeal started at about 3:45 p.m. when police said Wallace ran off with the boy during a supervised visit. The boy has been in state custody, police said. Wallace fled in a white Chrysler Town & Country van, police said, and authorities then issued an Amber Alert. At about 7 p.m., Tewksbury police said an officer noticed the vehicle on Interstate 495, pulled it over and took Wallace into custody without incident.
The Amber Alert system is a nationwide alert process for child abductions. It stands for America's Missing: Broadcast Emergency Response. The system was created in 1996 in memory of 9-year-old Amber Hagerman, who was murdered after she was kidnapped in Arlington, Texas while riding her bicycle.
