NH College Students Receive Achievements: Roundup

Students from Amherst, Boscawen, Concord, Loudon, Milford, Nashua, and Webster achieved academic statuses this year.

The following area students were named to the 2019 Dean's List at Union College. Comprised annually, the Union College Dean's List honors students who have a grade point average of 3.5 for the entire academic year and meet certain other requirements.

  • Kathryn Osterholtz, of Amherst, a member of the Class of 2021, majoring in Anthropology.
  • Emma Steele, of Amherst, a member of the Class of 2019, majoring in Economics.
  • Alaina Chormann, of Concord, a member of the Class of 2020, majoring in Geology.
  • Katherine Muzzey, of Concord, a member of the Class of 2019, majoring in Psychology.

At the University of Rhode Island's 133rd Commencement on Saturday and Sunday, May 18-19, 2019, about 3,400 undergraduate and 740 graduate students became the University's newest alumni.

Kaitlin V. Bryant of Amherst, received a Bachelor of Science Health Studies

Chris Michael DeChambeau of Amherst, received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

Mason S. Fraizer of Milford, received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Magna Cum Laude

Hannah J. Levesque of Nashua, received a Doctor of Pharmacy Magna Cum Laude

Kendra Nicole Michaud of Nashua, received a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering

Lauren Claire Monahan of Nashua, received a Bachelor of Science Health Studies

Thomas Lott of Webster, received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Cum Laude

Students who received the honor summa cum laude graduated with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.7; students who received the honor of magna cum laude graduated with a GPA of at least 3.50; and students who received the honor of cum laude graduated with a GPA of at least 3.3.

Taylor Smith, a Graphic Design major from Loudon. presented work at the Lasell College Spring Connected Learning Symposium in April. Smith was part of a core-scholars exploration of student views on diversity and inclusion.

Charles Smith, of Bow, was one of 17 Elmira College student-athletes on the men's ice hockey team placed on the 2018-19 rendition of the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) All-Academic Team, as announced by the conference office on July 30. The Soaring Eagles have had over 10 student-athletes earn academic plaudits from the UCHC office for the second-straight season, and it marks the sixth consecutive season that the Soaring Eagles have achieved the feat, dating back to their time in the ECAC West.

Lawrence University released its 2019 Dean's List, an annual honor roll of students demonstrating exemplary academic performance.

Patrick McDonnell of Nashua, was among the Lawrence students earning Dean's List recognition for the 2018-19 academic year.

The Dean's List is compiled at the end of the academic year once all grades have been recorded. To make the Dean's List, a student must have earned at least 36 units in Lawrence courses during the year and have earned a GPA of at least 3.5.

Roger Williams University is proud to announce that Gary Schoolcraft, of Nashua, graduated with a B.S. in Engineering/Electrical Engr Specialization in May as part of the Class of 2019.

Eliza Kissick of Concord, participated in the Bates College Junior Semester Abroad program. Kissick, a 2016 graduate of The Derryfield School, studied in United Kingdom through Advanced Studies in England, Bath. Kissick is the child of William L. Kissick Jr. of Concord, and Catherine H. McGrath of Fairlee, Vermont. They are majoring in rhetoric and minoring in education at Bates.

The following local residents are members of the WPI softball team that won the NEWMAC regular season and tournament titles this spring.

The requirement to make Emerson's Dean's List is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher.

It is with great pleasure that Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) congratulates the following students on being named to the winter 2019 Dean's List. The winter term runs from January to May. Eligibility for the Dean's List requires that a student accumulate an academic grade point average (GPA) of 3.5-3.699 and earn 12 credits for the semester.

Colby-Sawyer celebrated its 181st Commencement on Saturday, May 11, awarding approximately 185 undergraduate degrees and recognizing students and other individuals for academic excellence, outstanding contributions to society, and service to the college and community.

Callie Anderson of Amherst, earned a B.A. in psychology. Anderson graduated as a member of Psi Chi International Honor Society in psychology.

Brittany Ireland of Amherst, earned a B.S. in nursing. Ireland was a member of the Student Nurses Association and the women's lacrosse team.

Ireann Noel of Concord, graduated with a B.S. in biology. Noel was a member of the Biology Club.

Joshua Hartt, a English major from Concord, was named to the Dean's List at Cedarville University. This recognition required Hartt to maintain a 3.5 minimum GPA and carry at least 12 credit hours for the spring 2019 semester.
