No Charges in January Road Rage Incident

Not enough evidence, police said.

Police said no charges will be filed following an investigation of the Jan. 22 road rage incident during which a Nashua woman said she was violently "punched and dragged to the ground" by a stranger.

Melissa Scheurich-McDonough initially took her story to the public via social media, creating a Facebook page asking the public for help in finding the man who she alleged had followed her in anger, after she accidentally cut him off while traveling on Route 3 near Exit 4.

Nashua Police investigated the "road rage" incident, which took a violent turn, according to Scheurich-McDonough, when the driver of the SUV followed her to a residence on Stillwater Drive, where Scheurich-McDonough said the man got out of his SUV and assaulted her in front of her 10-year-old son.
