Thanks for opening up an opportunity here for dialogue on the topic of U.N. Agenda 21. And thanks to all for your comments. As you're each an important opinion leader, I thought to weigh in.
As a researcher, I can add that, as we delve deeply, we find that U.N. Agenda 21 is real, by no means innocent, and well-disguised as "green". It's best-described, in simplest terms, as a massive, global land and power grab- a takeover - cleverly disguised as environmentalism.
For one thing, research "Lebensraum": "Life room, living space," with its roots in Nazi doctrine, which argued that it was not only a necessity, but also a moral imperative for the master Aryan race to conquer territories where inferior races had failed to create a high culture. It further asserts that those of "the superior race" have the inherent right to seize the land, natural resources, and private property of "inferior races" for their own purposes.
Part of an over-arching agenda of certain interests, we find, as we dig deeply into the underpinnings of hidden history, is a prodigious plan to put an end to private property rights.
Lest we think this out of the realm of reason or possibility, we need only note the many millions of both lawful and unlawful foreclosures taking place in America today, much of which is mass-facilitated, sans bonafide proper deed and documentation, by way of dubious robo-signing.
This sad phenomenon of our times is as much due to banking's dubious practice of repeat sales of repackaged home loans, as mortgage-backed securities (which involves derivatives), as due to a dire economy.
We find that, whether fallen behind, or paid and up-to-date, private property-owners, by the millions, are systematically and strategically being put out on the street -- reportedly, to the tune of 9 Mil in America, thus far, with 12.5 Mil more in the pipeline.
Simply a sign of the times?

Similarly, on a global scale, note the many military interventions - invasions of whole nations - we have seen, in recent years, that ultimately equate to the reappropriation of the property of whole peoples and regions.

U.N. Agenda 21 takes many forms. It is ubiquitous, and by no means benign.
U.N. Agenda 21 is "Collectivism". Collectivism is Communism! http://m.dictionary.com/synonym/collectivism
"Regionalism" is a tool of Collectivism (Communism). And, a useful way to do an "end-run" around the authority of elected state and local government; which, if present trends persist, may soon be obsolete. This is why we need to pay attention.
With due respect to all, it's a device. It works by obtaining consent.
Input is elicited in the "Listening Sessions". When we attend and oblige, it implies that we agree to such regional proceedings run by unelected persons acting as authorities in our communities.

From discussion in the working groups, they distill input down onto easels. Some ideas don't filter through, after which the citizens depart and the input is compiled.
Regionalists are then equipped with Input From The Community and Implied Consent and will run with this with a given agenda.
Another example of a mechanism for an "end-run" around existing authority:
If implemented by simple executive decree (E.O) in the event of an emergency, the plan for Continuity of Government (C.O.G.) in WA, D.C., would supersede the Constitutional authority of our elected representatives.
We may note a recurring theme of "regionalism" cropping up around us, more and more, as socialist goals, often portrayed by media as "progressivism" or "liberalism", proceed, as we're seeing with the phenomenon of "Listening Sessions" and as we're seeing in our schools with the current push for "Common Core".
Common Core is Collectivism.

Read the critiques of the Regional Planning "Listening Sessions" taking place throughout the land with focus on "Sustainable Development".
Behind these many Stepford-like, strangely-homogenous sessions, you'll find, among others, The Rand Corp. And top-level N S A and C I A, quietly aligned with shadowy groups, behind The Rand Corp.

See, too, this leaked color-coded map designating future land use -- with greater and greater, wide, expansive areas of America, shown in yellow, intended as "highly-regulated use" and, in red, as "little-to-no human use." Note what is planned for our area.

No, it's not a ruse. And simply saying it's so won't wish it away. Those who understand what Agenda 21 is and what's at stake are grateful for the efforts of those who work tirelessly to raise awareness at tasks that can seem thankless. Understand, they do it for us, for our communities and for humanity because it's important and because they care. Painfully, the learning curve is long and time grows short.
There is more to this topic to consider, some of which involves hidden history, but plenty, for now, to ponder here. Suffice it to say that Collectivist interests long behind the engineering of U.N. Agenda 21 don't have our best interests in mind, so let's be vigilant.
