Old Trick of Walking Into Store, Trying to Return Stolen Items Fails for Man, Nashua Police Say

The old trick of walking into a store, grabbing items, then trying to return them as if you had purchased them failed for a Manchester man, police said.
Noah Fournier, 32, of 39 Carpenter St., was arrested Saturday at the Target store on Amherst Street.
Police said Fournier walked into the store, grabbed some items, then immediately returned them as if he had purchased them in exchange for a gift card.

Police said Fournier has two previous theft convictions, which upgraded his charge to a felony.
Fourier was released on $5,000 bail and is due back in court Feb. 6.
