One Arrested After Nashua Budget Rent-A-Car Barricade, Police Standoff Incident: Follow Up
Breaking: After negotiating with a suspect who fled police, an arrest was made. The person is being evaluated at a local hospital.
NASHUA, NH — A person has been taken into custody after fleeing police and barricading themselves inside an East Hollis Street business on Friday.
Around 9:30 a.m., officers and detectives attempted to stop the suspect in the area of Allds Street, but the person fled from police, Sgt. John Cinelli of the Nashua Police Department said. The suspect then barricaded themselves inside Budget Rent-A-Car on East Hollis Street.
“There was a heavy police response to the area,” Cinelli said. “After negotiating with the suspect, they were taken into custody. The suspect is currently being evaluated at a local hospital.”

None of the employees of Budget were injured. Police will release more information later on Friday, Cinelli said.
