It’s spring in New Hampshire and members of the Nashua Garden Club have already been hard at work preparing for the club’s annual Plant Sale. Mark your calendar for this event on Saturday May 18th to get great plants at great prices and to gather new ideas for your gardens. The sale will begin promptly at 8 AM and will run through Noon on the grounds of the Nashua Historical Society, 5 Abbott Street Nashua NH. It will happen rain or shine and please note that only cash and checks will be accepted.

Experienced shoppers arrive early to get the widest choice of annuals, perennials, houseplants, vegetables, and herbs. Many of these have been attentively raised and nurtured by members of the Garden Club who have been hard at work planting, propagating, potting and organizing for the Sale. These knowledgeable gardeners, including several Master Gardeners, will be on hand on the 18th to answer any questions and to help you pick the best plants for your spaces. And the fun doesn’t stop there! Attendees can also participate in the popular ‘gift basket raffle’ to try their luck at winning one of a wide variety of creative, themed gift baskets. Bargain hunters will want to visit “Jean’s Gems’ garden-themed tag sale for a fun selection of pots, lawn ornaments and other gardening tools.

This Sale is the only fundraiser held by the Nashua Garden Club each spring. All proceeds go toward community educational and beautification projects including maintenance of Greeley Park’s Sensory Garden and the garden at the Humane Society for Greater Nashua. The club also invites members of the Nashua community to attend club programs and hear expert speakers free of charge.
