VIDEO: Open Season on CDBG Funds: Apply Now

Annual application process provides vital funding for many non-profits.

The FY2014 Community Development Block Grant funds applications are available starting December 4, 2012; the due date is January 25, 2013 by 4 p.m.

The CDBG Program is a resource for communities to develop viable communities by providing decent housing, improving the living environment, and expanding economic opportunities, principally for low-and moderate-income persons.

Application packages for CDBG proposals will be available starting December 4, 2012 at the Community Development Division, Urban Programs Department, Nashua City Hall, 229 Main Street, 2nd floor, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; by calling 603-589-3085; or by completing an online
request on the City’s website
(Urban Programs Department). The deadline to submit an application is 4:00 pm January 25, 2013.

Urban Programs will offer a technical assistance workshop on December 17, 2012 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Please contact Joany Ilg, at 603-589-3089, to register. Prospective applicants are strongly encouraged to attend to discuss activity eligibility, application completion and Program requirements.

A public hearing, seeking citizen input on past performance and future needs, will be conducted by the Aldermanic Human Affairs Committee on February 7, 2013 at 7:00 pm in the Aldermanic Chambers, Nashua City Hall.
