Nashua Bomb Squad Called to Walmart

A suspicious-looking cardboard box with a propane tank was placed near the Hudson Walmart entrance Saturday, police said.

HUDSON, NH — A suspicious-looking cardboard box with an empty propane tank placed near the Hudson Walmart entrance Saturday drew a response from the Nashua Bomb Squad.

The box was X-rayed by a robot and deemed harmless.

"Due to the location and appearance of the box, it was deemed suspicious," Hudson police Sgt. Mike Gosselin said in a statement.

Police were notified of the box at about 3:45 p.m. Shopper were led out of the store and the parking lot was closed during the investigation. The store reopened at about 6 p.m.

Police are looking for the individual who placed the box there. Anyone with information can call Hudson police at 603-886-6011.
