Teen Allegedly Threw Big Rocks at Parked Cars
More than $1,500 in damage elevates crime to a felony for this 17-year-old.

Police arrested Richard Gurley, 17, of 29 Temple St. early this morning after reports that someone was vandalizing parked cars downtown.
Just before 1 a.m. on June 20 police were called downtown for a report of vandalism. Gurley was found in the area and questioned, and subsequently arrested, charged with criminal mischief, a class B felony. Police said several vehicles in the area were damaged by having large rocks thrown at them. Because the total estimated cost of the damage was in excess of $1,500, this offense is a class B felony, police said, which is punishable by up to seven years imprisonment, exclusive of fines.
Gurley was held at the Nashua Police Department pending his arraignment at 9th Circuit Court - Nashua District Division on June 21, 2011.
