Police: Nashua Woman Threatened, Cut Boyfriend with a Kitchen Knife

Amy Gallagher was arrested on assault, other felony charges.

A local woman was arrested last week and held on cash bail after allegedly assaulting her boyfriend as well as threatening and cutting him with a kitchen knife.

Amy M. Gallagher, 29, of Cross Street, was arrested at around 10 a.m. on Nov. 13, and charged with three counts of simple assault, as well as felony counts of reckless conduct and criminal threatening.

According to police, officers were sent to a Nashua home on the morning of Nov. 13, for a report of a domestic dispute. The victim in the case, a man, alleged that he had been assaulted and threatened by Gallagher, his girlfriend. While investigating the matter, police learned that the two had been arguing since the night before.

“Gallagher armed herself a kitchen knife and subsequently threatened the victim,” stated Lt. David Bailey of the Nashua Police Department. “During the incident, the victim sustained a minor laceration to his hand. Gallagher had also physically assaulted the victim the following day prompting him to call police.”

She was arrested, charged, and held on $10,00 cash bail. She faces up to 17 years in prison and fines, according to police.
