Police: Woman Bit Macy's Employee During Shoplifting Attempt
Crystal Frechette of Nashua was arrested yesterday on a felony charge.

A local woman was arrested yesterday after a shoplifting attempt at Macy’s in the Pheasant Lane Mall.
Crystal Frechette, 34, of Railroad Square in Nashua, was arrested on Aug. 5, on a robbery felony charge.
According to police, officers were sent to the store at just before 4 p.m. for a report of a theft. Mall security reported that a woman was “actively fighting” with a loss prevention officer employed by the store and allegedly bit him.

“When officers arrived, they were no longer fighting and were able to identify the female as Frechette,” said Lt. Denis Linehan, of the department’s criminal investigation division. “The stolen merchandise, which was valued at more than $800, was located in Frechette’s purse and she was taken into custody without further incident.
After a short investigation of the incident, she was charged with felony robbery, which is punishable by up to seven years in prison and fines.

Frechette was released on $2,500 cash bail and will be arraigned on Aug. 19.
According to online reports, this is not Frechette’s first run-in with the law.
Last month, according to a post on Patch, she was arrested on a conduct after an accident charge.
In July 2011, she was arrested on a felony forgery charge and in October 2011, she was arrested for felony possession of a narcotic drug and possession of a controlled drug, in Nashua, according to the Telegraph.
In October 2009, she was arrested on Winthrop Avenue in North Andover, MA, for shoplifting and possession of heroin, subsequent offense, according to the Lawrence Eagle-Tribune.
