Pre-Nuptial Dinner Special at Saffron Bistro

Chef Joe Drift has a new menu and a great special offer, plus more excitement brewing for September.

has extended its hours Sunday July 29 and Monday July 30, an early celebration honoring Chef Joe Drift's Marriage to his fiancée Elissa Lautenschlager. On those today days, two can eat as cheaply as one during the "buy one menu item, get one free" (of equal or lesser value) promotion.

A great chance to try out the new menu items, which premiered July 24. (We've uploaded the menu here for your browsing convenience.) New menu items are prepared with fruit and veggies from Brookdale Farm in Hollis.

The big day for Joe and Elissa is Aug. 3, which means Saffron Bistro will be on hiatus August 1 - 13.

Get the Drift: Mark your local flavor expedition calendars for Sept. 30, when Saffron Bistro will host its second Farm-to-Table Dinner, once again, featuring   local cheeses, meats, produce, brews and more.

The first Farm-to-Table Dinner sold out quickly, and this one is expected to be a sell-out, too. Ticket price depends on cost of seasonal elements used in the dinner, but organizers expect the price to be around the same as the last dinner, $40, give or take.
