Red Pill: Robert Fisher, NH Rep., Told To Resign For 'Men's Rights' Site
The Red Pill, a Reddit community focused on "sexual strategy" and "men's rights," was reportedly created by Laconia lawmaker Robert Fisher.
LACONIA, NH — New Hampshire political leaders are calling on State Representative Robert Fisher, a Laconia Republican, to resign after he was outed as the founder of "The Red Pill," a bizarre online community on Reddit named after "The Matrix" film that asks users to discuss "sexual strategy in a culture increasingly lacking a positive identity for men."
Fisher, 31, was identified by the Daily Beast as the founder of The Red Pill, which has 200,306 subscribers. Fisher wrote many passages on the site disparaging women, according to the Daily Beast.
“Marriage, and yes, female oppression, slut shaming, religion, these were all a means to control (infidelity)," Fisher wrote in 2012, according to the Daily Beast. "Marriages might be considered loveless, and women might have been unhappy, but for men it meant marriages that lasted, commitments that continued, and protection against the fickle whims of females."
