Remembering Neil Armstrong
Before the Moonwalk was a dance move, it was a giant leap for mankind. Where were you?
I remember standing in Pomeroy's basement, next to the record album section, where every television was tuned to the same channel. I sat down in front of a row of screens, mezmerized.
My dad was there to pick one out. I could not believe how lucky we were.
Living color was coming to my house, thanks to the Zenith console we bought that day, an event that was directly related to the anticipation of watching man walk on the moon.

July 20, 1969 we tuned in, along with millions of others around the world, many who, like us, rushed out to buy color TVs just to watch.
Before this moment, the moon was made of green cheese, and when it was full, it conjured werewolves.

But when I saw the landing of Apollo 11, and Neil Armstrong bounding around without a care, or the pull of gravity, my world view changed forever.
I will never forget how Neil Armstrong made history that day, and, more importantly, raised my family's cool technology quotient.
