Woman Killed In Westford Market Basket Parking Lot
A woman was run over by a sport utility vehicle in the Westford Market Basket parking lot Thursday; she later died.

WESTFORD, MA — A woman died Thursday after being pinned by her own vehicle when an SUV struck it in the parking lot of a Market Basket earlier in the day, officials said. The victim was "at the back" of her vehicle at the Cornerstone Square shopping center when the other vehicle struck it while parking, causing the victim's vehicle to roll backwards and pin her underneath, the Middlesex DA's Office and Westford Police Chief Thomas McEnaney said in a statement.
The victim was in her 50s. Police have not released her identity. She was reportedly found unresponsive and pulled free before being transported to Lowell General Hospital, where she was pronounced dead in the afternoon.
The driver of the other vehicle remained on scene. No charges have been filed as the incident is investigated.
