WESTFORD, MA — A woman was killed in Westford Thursday after authorities said a driver hit her sport utility vehicle in a Market Basket parking lot, causing her to become pinned underneath. The victim was identified Friday at Wei Wang, 64, of Acton. The incident happened Thursday morning in the busy Cornerstone Square shopping center.
"The preliminary investigation suggests that ...(Wang) was at the back of her motor vehicle in a parking lot at Market Basket in Westford," Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Westford Police Chief Thomas McEnaney said in a statement. "A second motor vehicle, while parking, struck the female’s car causing her vehicle to roll backwards pinning her underneath. The driver remained on scene."
