Lowell High Student Made Snapchat Gun Threat: Cops
Lowell police said a Lowell High School student was taken into custody after making a gun threat against the school over Snapchat.

LOWELL, MA — A Lowell High School student was taken into custody Friday after police said the individual made a gun threat against the school over Snapchat. Police said it was a "written threat" posted Friday morning. No one was hurt and the student was held in police custody and is expected to be charged with making a threat against a school.
"There is no current threat to the school community but to reassure students, staff, and families additional police officers are on duty to support Lowell High School," Lowell police said in a statement. "The safety of students and staff is of the utmost importance and appropriate action is being taken."
