Sears Closing Two NH Stores
Stores in Nashua and Keene are on the short list released today by Sears.

Two New Hampshire stores owned by Sears Holdings are among the list of 79 stores being closed by the struggling company.
Sears Essentials, 375 Amherst St Bldg 1, in Nashua at Somerset Plaza, and Sears Essentials, 480 West St., in Keene are on the list posted by Sears.
The closing dates are yet to be determined, according to Sears. The number of affected employees was not immediately known, according to the press release.

A trip to the Amherst Street store Thursday afternoon for answers was fruitless. Large yellow "clearance sale" signs were posted in the windows and customer traffic appeared steady by late afternoon.
A store employee inside referred questions about the closing date and number of employees losing jobs to Kim Freely, Director of Public Relations for the company. Freely was not available for comment Thursday.
