Shop Owner Charged with Receiving Stolen Goods

Police say Dennis Little knew the items he took for consignment were stolen.

Dennis J. Little, 50, of 45 Lowell St., Nashua was arrested Aug. 11, charged with receiving stolen property – a generator and some jewelry – which were recovered by police in a consignment store operated by Little.

The charge is in connection with a November 2011 burglary in Hollis, where police were investigating a residential burglary on Pine Hill Road.

Nashua Police Department joined Hollis Police in the investigation, and determined some of the stolen property was listed for sale in Little's shop, formerly operated at 45 Lowell Street in Nashua.

Nashua Police Lt. Michael Moushegian said that while shop owners are not normally charged when pawned goods are received, in this case police believe they have evidence to support the charges.

It is not Little's first brush with the law in Nashua.

According to Nashua Police arrest archives, Little faced similar charges following an arrest in 2008 for receiving stolen property involving the theft of stolen
stolen construction tools. The investigation revealed that Little had possession of one of the stolen tools in 2007.
