Six People Displaced In Nashua House Fire

NASHUA, NH — Nashua Fire Rescue reported no injuries after a fire damaged the second floor of a home on Booth Street Friday afternoon. Six people have been displaced due to the fire that appeared to break out in an air conditioning unit.

Companies arrived and saw smoke from the side of the home. Engine 2 and Ladder 2 forced entry into the home, which was unoccupied at the time, and located the fire on the second floor. Firefighters were able to knock down the fire within 16 minutes.

Some unit's responses were delayed due to a bus offloading students in response route. Companies did not proceed until bus operator could control the students, shut off the flashing lights and retracted the stop sign.

Nashua Fire Rescue said rapid fire extinguishing limited property damage. The fire is under investigation by the City of Nashua Fire Marshal.
