Apparently there are many varieties of crab apples and this year was a good one so they are plentiful. Toward the end of the year or the first of the coming year we get flocks of what we refer to as "Black Backed Robins" migrating through. Along with the Robins that may migrate down from Newfoundland, mixed in with the Robins are Cedar Waxwings. Both bird species are a treat just for the watching! It makes one think that Spring can't be far behind.
