Health & Fitness

So, I went to the HealthCare.gov...

I had set up an account in just a few minutes on my iPhone, while chatting with someone about how hard they found the site, and how it crashed, and how it was impossible to figure out. They then told me it was just using it that was hard...

So I put in a few bits of info about me and my husband, and clicked a few more buttons and within another 5 minutes or so had a quote on what the Marketplace choice I had made would cost us. Then they told me that they couldn't understand what it said...

Then I clicked on the live chat button and within seconds I had someone answering every question I could think of. And then the person's head exploded... well, not really, but when they saw that what they had been told about "ObamaCare" was really no longer valid, they went off on how our President lied.

{insert an eye roll here}

Now, there are humongous lies that send countries into war,
like... "they have wmd's that could strike America"
or little bitty ones that keep the peace,
like... "no, honey... those jeans don't make your butt look big"

But telling people that, "If they have policies they like (that don't break the new law) they can keep them." Is not a lie...

Did you see what I did there? The sentence always meant those polices that didn't conform to the new requirements - like no kicking people off just because... or no denying a person insurance because they once had a problem.

It wasn't a lie, it was people letting the media dumb down information and feed it to them like they were ignorant children.

ObamaCare isn't a website - the website is like a mall where you go shopping for the insurance you want and can afford. It is forcing companies to treat their clients fairly and in return we still have the choice - NH is still working on increasing the choices available. We were a little delayed because the last legislature wanted to keep us in the dark, and behind the eight ball on this.

This is the best we could do for now, we took Republican plans, Republican ideas, Republican amendments, and reformed health insurance. People should be dancing in the aisles instead of spreading the "lie" in the President's quote when it's actually where he foolishly believed that people were smarter.

I'd like to think people are smarter too...

If you need help getting the information you need, just ask. I'd be happy to help you find your way.
