Nashua Spring Arts Festival

The Sights and Sounds Spring Arts Festival is Coming to Downtown Nashua, NH!

Great American Downtown is excited to announce the 2016 Sights & Sounds Spring Arts Festival! This event will take place in Downtown Nashua on Saturday, April 30th from 10am-5pm and will feature over 60 area artists, artisans, and musicians. The event will serve as a celebration of the roll out of the City Arts Nashua ARTventures temporary sculptures, as well as the Downtown Nashua Street Piano Project. A dedication ceremony will take place at 10:30am at Bicentennial Park, alongside the Main Street Bridge.

The festival will sprawl along Main and Pearl Streets in the open air, as well as at participating retail locations, with artists works on display and for sale in shops along Main and Pearl Streets, and at the NAAA ArtHub at 30 Temple Street. Renaissance Glassworks and the All American Quilt Co., located at The Picker Building at 99 Factory Street, will have open hours from 10am-3pm that day as well. Musicians will be filling the air with festive tunes, and Gate City Piano Karaoke will be having a special al fresco session from 12-2pm at Bicentennial Park as they break in one of two open air Downtown Nashua Street Piano!

The Downtown Nashua Street Pianos Project is organized by Great American Downtown & North Main Music. The pianos are creatively painted by artists from Positive Street Art and supported by generous community members. Supporters of the project include The Peddler's Daughter - Nashua, Eaton and Berube Insurance, Nautical Gin Company, Fortin Gage - Fresh Flowers & Distinctive Gifts (NHFlowers-gifts), Nashua Dog Park, Darrell's Music Hall, City Arts Nashua, Sweeney Metal Fabricators, Inc., Stadium Graphics and over a dozen other supporting businesses, organizations and individuals.

ARTventures Nashua is a public art program that facilitates temporary art projects, performances, and special events to create a more fun and pedestrian friendly environment for shopping, dining, culture and entertainment in Downtown Nashua. ARTventures Nashua is a program of City Arts Nashua and is funded by the City of Nashua Downtown Improvement Committee. The program iinspires collaboration, positive media attention, tourism, public safety, community engagement, civic pride and economic investment in Downtown. ARTventures Nashua Projects were developed by artist Jerry Beck in collaboration with artists, youth, and community members. For more information on this program visit CityArtsNashua.Org

A great weekend in Downtown Nashua, jam packed with art, will wrap on Sunday with the “Artists On Review” pop up gallery opening reception at the 30 Temple Street Atrium and NAAA ArtHub! Sunday’s events will take place from 12-4pm, and will feature sculpture, paintings, photography, hand made furniture and other works by over 50 area artists and artisans! The event, organized as a collaboration between MG Associates, City Arts Nashua, and Nashua’s International Sculpture Symposium will be a great opportunity to explore a wealth of work from local creatives, take in some music, and socialize in a festive atmosphere. A special thank you to RJ Finlay for their support in hosting this event at their 30 Temple Street building. The Artists on Review exhibition will run from May 1-6th.
