Stolen 30-Pack of Beer Leads to Felony Arrest
Beer theft becomes a felony charge due to two prior theft convictions.

James Labombard, 36, of 32 Paxton Terrace, Nashua was arrested July 17 after allegedly stealing a 30-pack of beer from a gas station convenience store.
Police took a report on July 17 of a theft from the Shell Gas Station, 270 Main Dunstable Road, Nashua after an employee reported that an adult male stole a 30-pack of beer.
Patrol officers were able to identify the suspect to be Labombard, who was located at 23 Temple Street. Labombard fought with officers before he was taken into custody.

Labombard was charged with theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, a class A felony, resisting arrest or detention, class A misdemeanor, and simple assault on police officer, class A misdemeanor.
Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division furthered the investigation. A review of Labombard’s criminal history revealed that he had two prior theft convictions on his record. He was subsequently charged with theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, a class B felony.

A class B felony is punishable by up to seven years imprisonment in State Prison, exclusive of fines. A class A misdemeanor is punishable by up to one year imprisonment in New Hampshire House of Correction, exclusive of fines. Labombard is being held at the Valley Street Jail on a $5,000 cash or surety bail and will be arraigned on July 18, 2012.
