Sunshine Paving in the Park

Paving adds heat to Mine Falls Park

The re-paving of some of the paved trails in Mine Falls Park began Tuesday by Sunshine Paving of Hudson and with each layer added 300 degrees of heat to the already hot and humid weather we've been suffering through. NBut with the repaving of the Green and Red Trails and Whipple Street, park visitors will now find an flat surface instead of a worn and hole-filled pavement that hasn't been re-done for at least 25 years. That changes now as crews battled the heat of the day and the 300 degree heat thrown off by the tar itself. Paving will continue on Wednesday on the Whipple Street entrance so  park users should take that in mind.
