Teen Struck By SUV, Seriously Hurt Near Nashua

The 14-year-old boy was flown in a medical helicopter to a Boston-area hospital.

A local teenager was seriously hurt after police said he was struck by a sport utility vehicle Sunday afternoon.

The crash happened on Highland Street in Hudson at about 3 p.m.

Police said a 2007 Hyundai Tucson struck a 14-year-old boy who was crossing the street. The boy was loaded into a medical helicopter and transported to a Boston-area hospital. Police said his injuries were possibly life-threatening.

The SUV driver was identified as a 49-year-old Hudson man who was not hurt. Two others were in the vehicle; they were not hurt, police said.

Police said they are investigating the cause of the crash. They said alcohol did not appear to be a factor.
