Dear Madam Chairman Gile & all members of Committee:
The question we should ask ourselves, is: why is Common Core so unpopular among parents throughout the country that many bills have been introduced and passed like our HB1508 to terminate participation in it? A good place to start for understanding, "why", is the fact that their agenda changes attitudes by teaching children "what to think", instead of "how to think"; and manipulates their values in many cases by "opposing parental values and beliefs." "Moral absolutes" are ignored while favoring different belief systems as opposed to the Judeo-Christian ethics our nation was founded on. This is not education, It's indoctrination. Throughout our state this agenda has been implemented without local School Board approval.
In Manchester we were assured that our district could create its own local curriculum, but only on a Common Core foundation. These were the words of Secretary Barry. The only Common Core foundation that I trust is the Common Core that is the reason for all civilization, The Ten Commandments. The words "local control and freedom of choice" mean very little when you consider the fact that "public schools" have been forced to eliminate the Source of Human Rights by numerous unconstitutional Supreme Court rulings. The philosophy of freedom contained in the Declaration Independence that says "We are endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable Rights", and the purpose of government was to secure these rights which was accomplished a decade later in the Bill of Rights that emphatically say: Congress shall no law against these rights and at the end, essentially they say in the Tenth Amendment if we've forgotten anything, then the federal government can't do that either, leaving these powers to the states and the people, has been made obsolete. Ask yourself, when was the last time these eternal truths that are the foundation of our Republic were taught in public schools?
So once again the audacity of the "educational establishment" is ramming their agenda down the throats of parents. School teachers in many cases are forced to teach and defend the school curriculum. They are and have been, for the most part the only bright spot in public schools. But what I perceive from our State Education Department, is, they know what's best for our children and they don't care what we think. Meanwhile parents who oppose their newest con-job called Common Core which is coming from the same "Phycological laboratory" that has given us now well over a half-a-century of failure in education are labeled misinformed.
It is obvious why the Secretary of NH Education, Virginia Barry advocates Common Core, job security for many "education bureaucrats" is at stake. You don't go against what butters your bread. Her ultimate responsibility is to parents, no matter how much Foundation money from the Gates, Carnegie and Rockefeller's has bought into this alien philosophy of education called Common Core. If she chooses this "global education package" over the need to bring back parental control, then we parents and grandparents need to stop this agenda that has too many strings that will completely destroy what little parental control that now remains.
The vital information that our New Hampshire Department of Education is just a "parrot" for the UN/UNESCO control manifested through the U.S. Department of Education is contained in Debra Olszta letter with many of its many links below. Suffice it to say that this latest edition of a "dumbed down global education package" is more of the same "concoction of poison aimed at our children's minds", that has caused well over a half-century of failure. They add fuel to the fire when they thumb their nose at all of the evidence of UN/UNESCO influence that passes through the U.S Department of Education down to be forced on the states.
They need to face reality: parents are not going to subject their children to the captive audience of the school room that they have "no say so in what is taught."
I urge you to thoroughly study the Mrs. Olszta letter with all its links below before you make a decision. If you are on the side of our children, you will vote for HR1508.
