Third Stalking Arrest Since January
Craig Michaud faces felony stalking charges after most recent arrest.
Craig Michaud, 35, of Nashua, already in custody at Hillsborough County House of Correction, was arrested May 23 on new stalking charges, after he allegedly violated conditions of his parole by calling and sending letters from prison to a woman he was forbidden by the court to contact.
It is Michaud's third arrest since January on stalking charges.
The most recent charges stem from an incident April 12 at 3:30 p.m. when Nashua Police Department’s Domestic Violence Unit received a report of an alleged violation by Michaud of domestic violence bail conditions.

An investigation revealed that Michaud had communicated with an adult female that was known to him in violation of active domestic violence bail conditions.
Nashua Police Lt. Michael Moushegian confirmed that Michaud made the calls and sent the letters while in custody.

The May 23 arrest is a second offense, elevating it to a class B felony due to a previous domestic violence: stalking conviction, police said. In this case, Michaud made two phone calls and sent three letters to the victim from jail.
Michaud is being held without bail at the Nashua Police Department pending his arraignment on May 24 in Nashua District Court. A class B felony is punishable by one to seven years imprisonment exclusive of fines.
Previously, on a warrant after a woman reported he had made contact with her in December, a violation of an active restraining order against him.
Michaud was arrested again after police responded to a call for help from a woman on Auburn Street who reported that Michaud had allegedlly assaulted her. During the course of investigating, Police learned Michaud had a prior domestic violence/stalking conviction, from Dec. 21, 2011, and had been ordered to have no contact with the victim.
