Nashua YMCA Holding Food Drive

The drive runs through Jan. 17.

YMCA of Greater Nashua to hold food drive to support two local food pantries.

Locally, food pantries are always looking for donations, and this year is especially tough. Many pantries are in need of restocking. As one of our social responsibility initiatives, the YMCA of Greater Nashua will be collecting non-perishable food items to support Nashua Soup Kitchen, SHARE Outreach and St. John Neumann Food Pantry. The food drive will run now through January 17. Common items that are typically needed include canned vegetables and fruit, pasta, tuna, peanut butter, beans, canned soup and jelly. Donation bins will be set up in the YMCA lobbies for community donations.

Additionally, the Y is offering a membership incentive: in lieu of paying a one-time join fee (normally $50 or $100), potential members can donate a bag of non-perishable food items that will support our food drive. This membership special runs December 15 through January 17.
