Timothy Townsend, convicted twice of felonious sexual assault, charged with failure to report a change of address.

NASHUA, NH — A Nashua man on the Tier III Sex Offender Registry was arrested Saturday morning for failure to notify authorities of a change of address for the second time. Timothy Townsend, 48, has two convictions in New Hampshire for felonious sexual assault.
Townsend, of LKA 23 Temple Street Apt. 9, was charged with two counts of felony duty to inform for failure to report a change in address and failure to provide a secondary address, as required by state law as a Tier III sex offender. Townsend had previously failed to report an address change in 2015.
Townsend was convicted of felonious sexual assault in Belknap County Superior Court in 1996 and aggravated felonious sexual assault in Merrimack County Superior Court in 2009. Because of his first failure to report an address change, subsequent offenses are charged as Class A felonies.
