Truck Strikes Cruiser in Nashua, Drives Off: Police

A tractor-trailer drive sideswiped a State Police cruiser in Nashua and continued driving, police said. A State Trooper was hospitalized.

Nashua, NH — A State Trooper was hurt in Nashua Wednesday when a tractor-trailer driver struck his cruiser and didn't stop, police said.

The crash happened on the Everett Turnpike northbound at about 1 p.m.

Police said the trooper was pulled over to the side of the road in a construction zone when the truck driver—identified as Natalia Timakova, of Palm Coast, Florida—sideswiped his cruiser and continued driving.

The trooper suffered minor injuries but was able to catch up with the truck and pull it over. Timakova was cited for failing to move over for an emergency vehicle.

"(The truck driver) stated that she did not realize that she had struck the trooper’s vehicle," police said in a statement.

The trooper was hospitalized with minor injuries.
