NASHUA, NH — A trash truck caught fire in Nashua Wednesday morning on the Daniel Webster Highway.

Deputy Fire Chief Glen MacDonald said the truck was traveling on the northbound side of the highway at about 11:30 a.m. when a fire broke out in the compactor.

The highway was closed in both directions so firefighters could stretch a water line from a hydrant located on the southbound lane.
