Tribute Concert Tonight for Local Musician

Amsterdam is hosting a tribute concert tonight in memory of singer/songwrtier Tim Cannon, who died unexpectedly Oct. 1  at the age of 36.

The artists performing are all friends of Cannon's and wanted to do this event for him. Cannon was scheduled to play at Amsterdam tonight, Nov. 1, so it was a good night to plan this benefit for his family, organizers said.

The benefit is from 5 -10 p.m. and is open to all ages.

Cannon, 36, of Haverhill, adored his nephews and niece and made sure they all had an instrument and music lessons.

The Cannon Family has set up a fund for The Cannon Kids –  it the “The Cannon Kids Music Fund.” Amsterdam will have a special drink for the night and all proceeds will go to this fund along with a $5 donation/cover charge and this will also go to the fund. So please come out and enjoy a great night to celebrate Tim and pay it forward to a wonderful family and support the Cannon Kids Music Fund.
