Truck Splits In Half In Pelham Rollover Crash

Police said a woman escaped serious injury after a rollover crash in Pelham that caused her truck to split in two.

PELHAM, NH — A woman escaped serious injury after her truck split in half during a rollover crash in Pelham Thursday, according to police. The crash happened on Mammoth Road at about 2:45 p.m. The woman was able to crawl out of the vehicle and suffered only minor injuries, police said. The cab of the truck "completely separated" from the frame, police said.

The driver, a 21-year-old woman from Lowell, Massachusetts, told police "she felt the steering wheel begin to shake just prior to losing control" and crashing into a utility pole. The pole crashed to the ground and her truck, a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, rolled over as the cab tore off the frame, according to police.
