Tsongas Draws Crowd at Obama HQ
More than 100 Obama supporters came out to hear Niki Tsongas speak.
Ray Buckley, chairman of the New Hampshire Democratic Party, introduced Massachusetts Congresswoman Niki Tsongas to more than 100 supporters during an open house today at Obama HQ on Main Street.
"We have seen what the President has accomplished, and we are going to continue this progress, because we are all going to roll up our sleeves and do it together. We are so proud to have with us today, someone working alongside the President to move America forward, Congresswoman Niki Tsongas," Buckley said.
Tsongas is currently serving her third term representing the Fifth Congressional District of Massachusetts. Elected in 2007, Tsongas is the first woman to serve Congress from Massachusetts in 25 years. She holds the same seat that was held three decades ago by her late husband, Paul Tsongas.

"We need President Obama to continue to lead the country and continue this path of progress. I am glad to see so many in the room who share that goal. We will all work hard together to re-elect the President, and New Hampshire plays a very important role in that process," said Tsongas. "It's always good to come back to New Hampshire."
The Nashua office is one of the Obama campaign's seven offices in New Hampshire. The Nashua office began housing operations during the last week of the New Hampshire Primary, part of the campaign's continued efforts to build its infrastructure in New Hampshire and reach out to voters with an eye toward November.
