Two Nabbed in Steez Gallery Burglary
Police recovered items allegedly taken during the early-morning break in at the West Pearl Street business. A third suspect is sought.
Two men were arrested in connection with an early morning break-in at a West Pearl Street gallery/glass pipe shop.
Raymond Rodrigues, 21, of 58 Ash St., Nashua, and Christopher Carey, 17, of 58 ½ West Hollis St., Nashua were taken into custody early Monday morning after police received a call for a burglary in progress at the Steez Gallery.
Carey is charged with Burglary, a class B Felony; Theft by Unauthorized Taking, class A felony; and Resisting Detention, a Class A Misdemeanor. Rodrigues is charged with Criminal Liability for the Conduct of Another to Burglary, class B felony; Theft by Unauthorized Taking, class A felony and Resisting Detention, a Class A Misdemeanor.

Officers arrived at the gallery just before 12:30 a.m. where they saw three subjects running from the area of the Steez Gallery. Carey and Rodrigues were caught by police after a brief foot chase.
A check of the business showed that there has been forced entry into the building, and several items of merchandise that had been allegedly stolen from the business were subsequently recovered. Detectives assigned to the Nashua Police Department’s Burglary Investigation Unit furthered this incident, which resulted in the charges against both defendants.

A class A felony is punishable by up to 15 years imprisonment, exclusive of fines. A Class B Felony is punishable by up to seven years imprisonment, exclusive of fines. A Class A Misdemeanor is punishable by up to one year in jail, exclusive of fines. Carey was held at the Nashua Police Department on a $5,000 cash or surety bail pending his arraignment at 9th Circuit Court - Nashua District Division on January 24, 2011. Rodrigues was held at the Nashua Police Department on $15,000 cash or surety bail pending his arraignment at 9th Circuit Court - Nashua District Division on January 24, 2011.
