Two Women Arrested for Theft From Parked Car

The alleged victim chased the women down after they stole cash, electronics, CDs and a diaper bag from an unlocked car.

On September 14, 2011 at approximately 12:20 a.m. police arrested two women, Rebekah Spencer, 22, of 27 Country Hill Road, Nashua, and Brittany MacIntyre, 17, of 90 Tolles Street in connection with a reported theft from a parked car.

Police said Spencer was arrested for verbally threatening a victim. MacIntyre was arrested for continuing to yell and swear in the street after being warned to stop and pulling away from officers who were attempting to arrest her. They were both located at MacIntyre’s residence where they were arrested on the misdemeanor offenses. Following further investigation, Spencer and MacIntyre were charged with robbery.

Police said the female victim had discovered MacIntyre and Spencer stealing items from her unlocked vehicle on Ridge Street at about 11:30 p.m., including cash, a car stereo, GPS, music CDs, a wallet and a diaper bag.

The victim confronted Spencer and MacIntyre, who fled on foot, but were chased down by the victim. Once the victim caught up with Spencer and MacIntyre, they allegedly threatened the victim and tried to assault her, although the victim was not injured during the incident, police said.

Spencer is charged with Criminal Threatening, a misdemeanor, and Robbery, class B felony. MacIntyre is charged with Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest or Detention, both misdemeanors, and Robbery, class B felony.

The class B felonies are punishable by up to seven years imprisonment, exclusive of fines. The Misdemeanor offenses are punishable by up to one year in jail, exclusive of fines.

Both Spencer and Macintyre are being held at the Hillsborough County Department of Corrections in Manchester, New Hampshire on $10,000 cash or surety bail pending arraignment.
