Averill House Vineyard Celebrates Second Year Anniversary

Two years in the Making! Or Fun with family making wine!
Averill House Vineyard celebrated it's second year as a winery this July.
The endeavor is a collaboration of Jake, Beth, Stephanie and Bob Waite.
Using the talent and skills derived in other professions to come
together and build something larger than themselves.

This all began with a few random Vines purchased at a end of year plant
sale that grew into a two acre vineyard with eleven varieties. The
major part of the vineyard is four and five years old producing it's
first real harvest this year. It also is responsible for over 15 bird
hatch-lings this year!

We have gone from a one day a week adventure when time would allow to
hiring several tour guides and Tasting Room Associates. Using small
yard signs to promote the adventure they drew attention off of route
13 heading into and from Massachusetts. With the help of New
Hampshire DOT we have two gorgeous highway signs marking the entrance
of Averill Road which the name of the winery derives.

We are blessed to have great support from the New Hampshire Wine
association and local winery Fulchino Vineyard of Hollis. Fulchino
Vineyard, along with Copper Beech Winery of Hooksett and Appolo Vineyards of Derry invited
Averill House Vineyard to the community with a New Hampshire Wine
Weekend celebration which has become a annual October event.
Then in November and December as many as 12 New Hampshire Wine
Association wineries come together with Averill House Vineyard for
the Jingle Bell Tours.
We have introduced over 15 wines with contemporary favorites like a
Chilean Malbec called Bronceado en el sol, True Blue a Blueberry wine
aged in American Oak cask and some seasonal hits like Victoria's Day
a Cold Brew Coffee from A&E of Milford fermented with Cherry
juice which also made its way into a ice cream we call #WineCream!
Keep an eye out in 2020 as we reach out to the Concord, Nashua and
Merrimack Farmers Markets and local restaurants and shops.

Guest favorite option is the tasting and tour. Visitors never know what the
tour may include and it's always changing. From Birds nest to spring
houses, blind #winecream tastings or an invitation to press grapes
for next years vintage. An add on feature is to develop your own wine
label and bottle it with friends which makes for a great office party
on charity event, some even for their holiday gifts.
We are known for involving the community in our plans. Especially dear
to our hearts are Andre Art Institute for their hikes and art
installations and the Brookline Historical Museum which we have
dubbed the Ice museum in reference to the Historical Ice District we
are located in. We celebrated Brookline with a 250th Anniversary Wine.

Bring the kids for yard Yahtzee, bring the puppy for a walk with a glass of
wine in hand, bring a friend that needs a respite or stop by yourself
and share your day with us. You will be enchanted by the best New
Hampshire has to offer and may find a wine as fun as the team at Averill House Vineyard.
